SIA WH WHEELS participates in the Emission Quota Auctioning Instrument (EKII) to support the purchase of zero- and low-emission vehicles. The new support programme EKII-10 covers not only electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, but also hydrogen vehicles.
Support amounts depend on the vehicle type and whether the buyer holds a Latvian Honorary Family Certificate (including families with 3 or more children or a child with a disability).
Within the programme, you can receive EKII support of:
- EUR 4,000 to EUR 9,000 — for a new factory-produced M1 and N1 category electric vehicle, hydrogen vehicle, or plug-in hybrid.
- Base support: EUR 4,000
- Honorary Family Certificate holders (vehicle with at least 5 seats): EUR 6,750
- Honorary Family Certificate holders (vehicle with at least 7 seats): EUR 9,000
- EUR 3,000 to EUR 6,750 — for a used factory-produced M1 and N1 category electric vehicle or hydrogen vehicle.
- Base support: EUR 3,000
- Honorary Family Certificate holders (vehicle with at least 5 seats): EUR 5,000
- Honorary Family Certificate holders (vehicle with at least 7 seats): EUR 6,750
Additional support options:
- EUR 2,000 if, before purchasing an eco-friendly vehicle, you decide to write off a vehicle in your ownership (handing it to a recycling company) or donate it free of charge to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
- EUR 1,000 for each additional child (starting from the fourth) for Honorary Family Certificate holders, if purchasing a vehicle with at least 5 seats.
Key conditions for the vehicle being purchased:
- The price threshold in standard configuration is up to EUR 45,000 (excl. VAT), and for vehicles with at least six seats — up to EUR 60,000 (excl. VAT).
- Used vehicles must have a first registration date no older than 7 years, mileage not exceeding 150,000 km, and must not have been registered in Latvia for more than 12 months.
Conditions for writing off / transferring the old vehicle: This applies to an M1 or N1 category vehicle that:
- Has been in the support recipient's ownership for at least the last three months.
- Has been registered in the Republic of Latvia for at least the last year and used in road traffic during this period.
- Has driven at least 5,000 km per year in the cycle between the last two mandatory technical inspections.
- Has been handed over to a recycling company or donated free of charge to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
